Tadeusz Miciński's The Polish Thermopylae, directed by Jan Klata, with surtitles in English and Ukrainian

Polish history, powerful commentary on the present, and a magnificent visual and musical feast: Jan Klata's production is a story about the cursed fate of our part of Europe – about Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and the shadow that Fate has cast on successive generations of History's cannon fodder. Accompanied by the haunting sounds of the black metal band Gruzja, we explore Poland's complex history, the desperate present, and the social and political challenges facing us.

The performance is accompanied by an artistic intervention, LAND(SCAPE) OF WAR by Bartłomiej Kiełbowicz, who brings life as it is on the streets into the theatre.

Вистава Яна Кляти — це розповідь про прокляту долю нашої частини Європи: про Польщу, Росію, Україну, про тінь, яку Фатум кидає на чергові покоління гарматного м’яса Історії. Під пронизливі звуки блек-метал гурту «Gruzja» ми розповідаємо про складну історію Польщі, про пекуче сьогодення, про суспільні та політичні виклики, які постають перед нами.

Виставу супроводжує мистецька інтервенція «КРАЙ(ОБРАЗ) ВІЙНИ» (KRAJ(OBRAZ) WOJNY) Бартломея Кєлбовіча, який переносить у стіни театру те, чим живе вулиця.
